Security tags manage access levels in the app. If a client needs access to a section, you can assign the correct tag via the user management interface.
Before we start, please ensure you know which client(s) you are granting access to and the specific security tag(s) they require.
Our applications are structured with varying security levels to clearly define the access permissions for each client. If a client has received approval to access a section of the application that they are currently restricted from, it is necessary to assign them the appropriate security tag for that area. A security tag serves as a designation that distinguishes clients from one another, ensuring that they do not have visibility into restricted or sensitive areas of the application.
To illustrate the process of granting a user a new security tag, please follow the example outlined below:
1. You first need to go to your app's control panel and on the side menu click 'Users' and then click 'User Management' to search your app's users.
2. Once inside 'User Management' click on the search feature and search for the client. You can find a client using a variety of identifiers about them, but using their 'display name' or email address is usually the quickest and easiest way to find clients.
3. Once you have found the user click on the search bar and type the security tag you would like to give them. Once you have typed the tag in the search bar click on the 'add' button to the right of the search bar. Make sure to press save after clicking add or it won't give the user the new tag.
Congrats! You have successfully given the client a new security tag!
