# How to change a user's password from the control panel.

## Step-by-step guide on updating a user's password from the control panel.

At times, it may be necessary to update a user's password directly from the backend. The following step-by-step guide will walk you through the process.

 

**1. First, select 'User Management' from the left-hand side.**

**2. Use the search bar to find the user. Make sure you know either the user's display name or email.**

**3. Click on the 'Reset Password' button to input the new password for the user.**

**4. Fill out the pop-up with the new password. The user will not be notified that you changed their password, so let them know!**
