Manually Awarding Points to Users Through Bulk Import

This process allows you to update points for multiple users at once without needing individual manual entry.

Step-by-Step Guide to Importing User Points

To begin, navigate to your loyalty section of your app. This area is often called the rewards or store section of the app.

  1. Locate the Bulk Actions Tool: Within the points management area, look for an option labeled "Bulk Actions" or "Import/Export." This is where you will find the tools for managing user points in large quantities.

  2. Download the CSV Template: The system will provide a downloadable CSV template. This template is a pre-formatted file designed to ensure that the data you upload is correctly interpreted by the system. The template will typically contain columns for user identification (such as email address or user ID) and the number of points to be added.

  3. Prepare Your CSV File:

    • Using a Spreadsheet Program: Open the downloaded template in a spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

    • Enter User Data: In the appropriate columns, enter the email addresses of the users you wish to award points to and the corresponding number of points for each user.

    • Save as CSV: It is crucial to save or export the file in CSV format. If you are using a cloud-based application like Google Sheets, you will need to download the file to your computer as a CSV file.

  4. Upload the CSV File: Return to the "Bulk Actions" or import section of your store's dashboard. Select the option to upload or import a file and choose the CSV file you just created.

  5. Confirmation of Import: After a brief processing period, the system will confirm that the points have been successfully imported. These manually added points typically do not require a separate approval process and will be immediately reflected in the users' accounts.

This bulk import functionality provides a convenient and powerful way to manage user points efficiently, ensuring that you can easily make necessary adjustments or reward your users as needed. If you encounter any issues, ensure that your CSV file is formatted correctly and that the user data is accurate.
