Understanding and Managing Abuse Reports

Abuse reports are a crucial feature within the app, allowing users to flag and report behavior they deem abusive from other users. This system helps maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone.

How Abuse Reports Work:

When a user submits an abuse report, you will receive an email notification. This email will inform you that a new abuse report has been filed for your app and will include a button to view the report directly.

Accessing and Managing Reports:

  1. Email Notification: Click the "View Report" button in the email notification. This will take you directly to the specific abuse report within your control panel.

  2. Control Panel Navigation: Alternatively, you can access abuse reports at any time by:

    • Logging into your control panel.

    • On the left-hand side menu, navigate to "Users."

    • Select "Abuse Reports."

Information Provided in Each Report:

Each abuse report provides comprehensive details to help you investigate the incident:

  • Reported When: The date and time the report was submitted.

  • Reported By: The user who filed the report.

  • Reported User: The user against whom the report was filed.

  • Reason: The specific reason provided by the reporting user for the abuse.

  • Feature: The part of the app where the reported abuse occurred.

Taking Action on Reports:

After reviewing a report, you have the ability to take appropriate action:

  • Mark as Abused: If you determine that abuse did occur, you can mark the report as "Abused." From there, you can take further actions such as banning the user or removing them from the app, depending on your app's policies.

  • Mark as Not Abused: If you determine that no abuse occurred, you can mark the report as "Not Abused." This will dismiss the report.

Important Note:

You do not need to constantly monitor the abuse reports section. The system is designed to notify you via email whenever a new report is submitted, ensuring you are always aware of new incidents.
